| The Fountain Hills Community Chorus will celebrate it's 20th anniversary this season! Come Join Us for the Fun! |
The Fountain Hills Community Chorus will celebrate its 20th anniversary this season. Led by
Matthew Frable, the group entertains it’s audiences with beautiful choral music while providing an
enjoyable musical experience for its members. The non-audition chorus sings in four-part harmony
and is open to anyone who loves to sing. The ability to read music is not required.
In addition to the larger chorus, the Fountain Hills Chamber Singers is an auditioned small group of
singers selected from within the Chorus. The Chamber Singers perform music that is from a more
difficult choral repertoire.
The Chorus will perform two major concerts this year, a Holiday concert in early December (Sunday,
December 5 at 4:00 pm and Monday, December 6 at 7:00 pm) and a Spring concert at the end of
March (Sunday, March 27 at 4:00 pm and Monday, March 28 at 7:00 pm). Concerts are performed at
the Fountain Hills Community Center located at 13001 N. LaMontana Drive in Fountain Hills.
Additionally, the group is frequently invited to perform at various local civic and cultural events.
As part of the 20th anniversary celebration, members of the chorus will have the opportunity to
travel to Vancouver/Victoria in late June 2011 to participate in musical concerts with other
performing arts groups.
The Chorus rehearses every Monday evening from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at the Fountain Hills Community
Center. The Chamber Singers rehearse immediately afterwards, from 8:30 - 9:00 pm. Registration for
the Fall season for new and returning members will take place on Monday, September 13, 2010
beginning at 6:00 pm and will continue for the first three rehearsals.
The Chorus is funded entirely from membership dues, concert ticket sales, grants, and donations. It
is an affiliate of the non-profit Fountain Hills Cultural and Civic Association.
